The dungarees have dung-arrived!
Finally got my big clothes order from the US through. Lots of winter Carters clothes including some very cute pyjamas and a good selection of OshKosh dungarees, some which is already sold by pre-order and won’t make it onto the website. There is a lot that will though so don’t worry.
The ‘Cool Kidswear’ website is of course still in the early days and the main problem seems to be getting enough stock. I’m starting to realise that I need to make a very large outlay to get enough stock in to cover all the different sizes and variations that people want. It is no good just having one off lovely items, you need all the different sizes and colours or people won’t come back. Whilst items are selling well, it will still be a long time before I get back what I’ve spent, just because of the amount of capital one needs tied up in stock.
My Sister in Law’s family tell me that in the US they call the Friday following Thanks Giving ‘Black Friday’ as it the supposedly the day retailers finally start turning a profit (as in out of the red and into the black). This is the end of November so nearly 11 months are spent just trying to break even. It must be because they have to sell 10 items to make enough money to cover the cost of a single item in stock.
Anyway I am frantically getting more stock in and much is now on the website. I am getting even more Carters and OshKosh stuff soon and should have another order by the end of November just in time for Christmas gifts.
If there are any sizes you can’t see that you want then TELL ME NOW!! and I will order them, but this baby clothes business is still a baby-size business and I need all the help, guidance and prodding in the right direction that you guys as my customers can give me.

Sorry there have been a few intermittent problems with the shopping cart which I'm in the process of having fixed. Stocks are runing a bit low another order is coming in soon with lots of hickory Denim in size 4 & 5 but it may be a bit pushed for Christmas. Apologies for this I failed to predict quite how popular the OshKosh Dungarees would be, the next order is huge though and I will re-order in advance to ensure I never run out again.
If the Brooklyn are not what you are looking for I will drop you an email as soon as the next order comes through. It is always a bit unpredictable how long it takes though as it has to get through UK Customs.
